A. There are a number of vendors with media asset management solutions. Differentiating among them is a daunting exercise. Venaca’s solutions are based on an open architecture with an extremely robust set of functionalities and encompasses numerous workflows such as encoding-to-editing and storage-to-distribution. Venaca's knowledge of the production and broadcast environments means that the tools to manage metadata, create formats and publish content are all seamlessly integrated and designed for industry professionals. Venaca understands the challenges of timecode, frame accuracy and file integrity. There are modules that allow for customized user interfaces and automated workflows so that each department and group can have the desired look, feel and processes. Venaca has a large range of vendor integrations to allow an end-to-end solution in most large media companies. Our solutions are purposely built for joining the production, IT and broadcast environments.
Q. Does your application allow us to edit video and audio?
A. Our solutions enable "rough-cut" editing of assets rather than final finishing of these assets. However, our solutions integrate with many of the NLE products used in production today such as Avid and Final Cut Pro.
Q. How long is a typical deployment?
A. Deployments can be as short as several weeks but given the complexity of most production environments, the amount of integration necessary, the degree of customization and the deliverables required on the part of the customer, deployments may take several months if not longer.
Q. What does a typical MAM deployment cost?
A. Venaca truly offers a scalable solution to meet your budget requirements ranging from ASP solutions to enterprise-level deployments of our software. While a common thread exists among every deployment, each customer has a particular subset of requirements that are unique. To obtain a better idea on costs, please contact us for more information.
A. We support all commonly supported forms of media but our solutions are designed to support the demanding requirements of true high-resolution media such as broadcast video and audio. A complete list of media types is available upon request.
Q. Can we leverage existing hardware in our organization?
A. In many cases, our solutions allow you to leverage existing hardware and other internal legacy systems.
Q. Is Venaca's "end-to-end" solution able to integrate other third party applications that may overlap with some of your capabilities?
A. Yes. While our objective is to eliminate many of the inefficiencies found in cobbled solutions, we do integrate with other third party applications. We will work closely with your vendors of choice.
